Being an intern at LINAK

As an intern you will be involved in projects and trusted with business relevant tasks and thereby support the organisation like any other employee – of course with the necessary support by your immediate leader and the other members of your team.

Teamwork is everything at LINAK!

As an intern, you will be a fully fledged member of the LINAK family, and you can expect to be taken as seriously as any other employee. You will work closely with the other members of your team in a busy, challenging and unpretentious working environment that is both open and informal.

Before applying, please consider the following:

LINAK normally takes on between 10 and 12 interns each semester. Interns are assigned to various teams, primarily working within mechanics, electronics, software and production. However, all internship applications will be considered, regardless of the applicant's field of study. We appreciate the contributions enthusiastic students make and offer a well-planned and structured internship programme.

During your time at LINAK, you will be a member of a community of interns from several different universities. Bachelor internships are paid. For out-of-town interns, LINAK provides adequate housing.

When can you start?

In our updated list of current vacancies we also feature advertisements for internships . Use that to apply.

Applicants need to be aware of two annual deadlines for application. One for each semester (spring and autumn). The next deadline can be found in the internship announcement on our job page (see link above).

Immediately after each deadline, we review all applications and invite a select group of candidates for an interview. New interns usually start in February or in August/September.

All internships last a minimum of 20 weeks, though many choose to stay for longer. Some interns choose to remain with LINAK while writing their final thesis.

LINAK also welcomes thesis students.

Several of our interns choose to remain with LINAK while writing their final thesis. But any student with a good thesis project is welcome to apply.

Though most applicants work in engineering it is not an absolute requirement. Describe your idea, what you expect the results to be, why this is relevant for LINAK and send it, together with your covering letter and CV, to: personale@linak.com.

When we receive your application, we will try to match your idea with the right person or team and the with the company's overall strategic targets.

We are looking forward to hearing your idea.
