Components
Components of an electric linear actuator
Dig into some of the main components of an electric linear actuator: motor, spindles, gear types, clutches, brakes, printed circuit boards, cables and connectors or the housing. You can expand your knowledge on how all these components work and interact to form high-quality actuators for industrial use.
Learn how actuator performance is directly affected by its components, and get tips on how to best utilise a linear actuator.
Interfaces
Smart electric actuators have more communications options
Our LINAK® IC™ actuators “speak your language” and offer a variety of industrial and mobile interfaces, allowing you to easily integrate smart and reliable movement with existing control systems – even complex systems. The integrated interfaces all offer crucial usage data to allow maximum performance and avoid downtime. All you have to do is customise the final configuration to meet your requirements.

Lifetime
How to calculate and extend the service life of your electric actuator
Predicting the lifespan of electric actuators can be challenging, as different applications and conditions place different demands on components. B10 calculations based on real-life test data can give a solid estimate of an actuator’s service life. This is important when developing a new application and planning maintenance.
If a long service life of an actuator is important to an application, a BLDC motor can be a suitable choice, as this motor type extends the actuator’s operational lifetime.
Learn more about the B10 Lifetime prediction tool and how a brushless DC motor can take actuator performance to new heights.
Testing
Comprehensive testing to ensure high reliability
Industrial electric linear actuators from LINAK are designed to perform reliably even in harsh environments. Therefore, all products undergo extensive testing across a wide range of conditions.
No actuator leaves LINAK until it has successfully passed a 100% function test. This ensures that solutions based on our electric actuators will work reliably for years and years.
All actuators are subjected to climatic and environmental, mechanical, and electrical testing depending on the actuator type.
